Rob Geddes (Master of Wine) had this to say:
“Minerals, coffee, burnt sugar, solids, exotic. Has extracted sweetness from the oak. Good length and tension to the fruit, good middle complexity.”
Complex aromas of grilled figs and nuts, with dusty oak and intense rose petal. The palate is tight and textural with similar intense rose petal and grilled fig characters.
Pinot Gris is wonderful with goats’ cheese, so serve it with a salad of warm goats’ cheese and crispy prosciutto. Enjoy!
